Certification programs from the Center for Financial Certifications provide a foundation of skills and techniques that enhance your professional performance and keep you informed of industry trends. The Center administers five certification programs.
Certified Personal Finance Counselor®
(CPFC®) provides professional development and certification for credit
counselors working with clients in a one-on-one setting to help them
establish a personal budget, evaluate their debt load, set financial
goals and develop a plan of action.
Certified Educator in Personal Finance®
(CEPF®) provides professional development and certification to
financial educators who work with clients in a group or community
setting to educate them about managing their personal finances.
Certified Residential Housing Counselor™ (CRHC™) provides professional development and certification for housing counselors, including HUD counselors.
Certified Consumer Debt Specialist™ (CCDS™) was designed to provide professional development and training for those who work in the debt settlement industry.
Certified Consumer Receivables Counselor™ (CCRC™) was designed to provide professional development and training for those working in the consumer collections industry.
