CEU Courses Available through the Center for Financial Certifications

Acceptable Sources of CEUs

Because continuing education is such an integral part of professional development, we strongly encourage all certificate holders to maximize the information they get out of every course they take.

The Center for Financial Certification offers self-study continuing education courses that are pre-approved to meet CEU requirements. Other courses addressing financial matters, teaching methods, counseling techniques, housing, negotiation skills and ethics are appropriate. If you are not sure about the appropriateness of a course, consider the question, “will this course help me perform my job better?” If the answer is yes, more than likely the course will be approved by the Center for Financial Certifications for CEU credit.

Currently, the Center for Financial Certifications has pre-approved the following conferences for continuing education:

•The American Association of Debt Management Organizations (AADMO)
•The Annual Conference on Financial Education (hosted by the Institute for Financial Literacy)
•The Association of Independent Consumer Counseling Agencies (AICCCA)
•The Association for Financial Counseling and Planning Education (AFCPE)
•The National Foundation for Credit Counseling (NFCC)
•The United States Organizations for Bankruptcy Alternatives (USOBA)

Please submit any continuing education course or conference not mentioned above on the Continuing Education Approval Form(Below). That form may also be found in the Resource Guide of your training manual.
